Beat the recession with brand power!
When times are tough most businesses cut back on 'non-essential' spending and unfortunately for them (and us...) their brand and marketing are often victim to this. But we're urging our fellow, small businesses to listen to the evidence that shows continued investment in your brand and your marketing throughout a recession will mean you will not only survive it, but come out stronger than ever, and those that neglect their brand will sadly, be less likely to make it through.
Can 'brand' really effect business?
The answer is most certainly yes and here's why. Fail to get your brand noticed and you'll fail to survive, because now, more than ever, you need to be seen. With recession-fighting customers becoming more fickle and selective in their spending, the need to grab their attention, hold it, and then influence their purchasing decisions has become a matter of 'survival of the fittest.'
A brand fit for business...
If your brand 'fits' your customer (referred to as 'brand positioning') you'll be able to communicate with them more effectively and in doing so, be able to influence their decisions and hopefully (this is where your skills and great service comes in...) form a positive relationship with them. This sounds a bit pretentious we know, but how much better that customer 'brand loyalty' gets you through the recession rather than a remortgage?
How on earth..?
First you need to identify who your customers are (hopefully you already know this, if not our number is at the bottom!) and really get to know them. Once you know who they are, you not only know how to talk to them but you know where to find them (again we can help you with this). Then you need to make sure that everything they touch regarding your business is sending out a consistent message that positively reinforces your brand. This means everything from your visual identity (we're very good at creating these...) your 'tone of voice', stationery, packaging, advertising, website, shop interior etc, and most crucially your service, which should fulfil customer expectations and deliver on your promise. Get all these things right and woo-hey you've got 'brand loyalty' (not just reserved for the M&S's, Heinz's and the Coca Colas) which in turn brings about repeat business, word of mouth recommendation and generally good karma.
This is where we come in.
Air Creative is a design agency with studios in Gloucestershire and in Devon. Developing brands for blue chip clients and household names since 1997 the two senior partners founded Air Creative in 2004 with a mission to bring big brand expertise to modestly-sized businesses without the big price tag. Instead of dealing with marketing execs we now get to work closely with actual business owners with their passion, vision and drive, which makes the process for us far more rewarding. Really understanding our client's business means that we produce work that not only achieves the desired results but that we can all be proud of and we'll work to YOUR budget, however big or small it may be, providing a wide range of creative services that ensure your business gets noticed.
